I AM @ Youth.SG: word of the century: WORX. HEALTH ADVISORY WARNING! What is worx? worx wôr'z - derived from the chinese word, 哦, meaning oh? really? is that so? How is worx used? Worx is always used at the end of a sentence to emphasise the intent of the user. For example, oMg! HeBE is SO cUTe wORx!!!!~~ Meaning: Oh my goodness. Hebe is very cute! :) Or: hONeY dEAResT! i LUB chU dEEp DeEp woRx!!~~ Meaning: Dear, I love you so much. OR: i OWe YoU toO muCH wORx!~ Xie XIe Ni~! thANKiEW sO muCH woRX!~ Meaning: Thanks. In other words, worx is redundant. Notice the misuse of the punctuation, using capital letters where not required. Who uses worx? It is frequently used by a known species found only in Singapore: the "Ah's". The male species, affectionally known as Ah Beng, and the female, Ah Lian. There're some species which have a close affliation to this particular breed. Them being, "Ah Huay", or "Ah Seng" are a few of the commonly known terms. But that's another topic for another health advisory. Coming back to worx, What proof do you have that worx is widespread? We've googled worx on the internet and found out that 90% of the search pages that contain the word "worx" are found in Singaporean blogs and forums.  courtesy of google.com Why is the use of worx not advised? Worx, if used AT ALL, may cause dangerous diseases like, Parkinson's disease, epilepsy, gonorrhoea, to name a few. If need be used to offend the word (IF you call that a word), a safer pronunciation is to be used accordingly: just say "warks". But please do not drag the word as it'll only lead to correct pronunciation of the word. What do I do if I suspect someone is using worx at me? Run away. If convenient, call the Communicable Disease Center or dial the toll-free hotline: 1800-worx-not. Do not attempt to confront the user as it may only lead to you using worx too. Help will be sent to you as soon as possible once you dialled the hot-line because we have a GPS satellite to detect where you are. Money is no issue here. THEY ARE THAT DANGEROUS. What if I realised i'm using worx? Approach your nearest pharmacy and ask for Antiworxamine (it will only surpress worx, not eliminate it). Follow strictly to the directions given to ensure the best results.  If your nearest pharmacy has run out of Antiworxamine pills, do not seek another pharmacy for you may spread the disease to others. BE CONSIDERATE, ask for suicide pills. It's better to end your own life than to cause misery to others. Are there any immunities to worx? Currently, we do not have a cure for worx. But prevention is always better than cure. 1) Drink lots of water. 2) When you suspect you are going to use worx at a person, cover your mouth. 3) Cut your tongue off.
