heaven now.i've just seen another victim of ah-lianism.one of the symptoms is having a nickname such as darkgal_84. AHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!! ANYWAY.. the title above is given on friday afternoon at approximately 2.30pm when every single damn mission ended last week and we can go home and celebrate. HEAVEN NOW......... music to my ears. HEAVEN NOW......... heaven now......... tian1 tang2 xian4 zai4............ heaven now (in bahasa malayu) heaven now...... (in tamil) heaven now........ (in every single damn language there is in the world) this phrase is music to my ears in any language. it's like eating ice kachang very quickly and getting brain freeze. it's that high. seriously, going for outfield missions really sucks to the core. i perpetually dreaded going for these kinda nonsense and i know this won't change the fact that i'm still going anyway. i also come to realise what my cousin told me the last time about the percentage of morale when you cross water obstacles is true. it went something like this: when the water reaches above your boots, your morale drops about 10-20% because your socks get wet and you can worry about getting foot rot when you reach back home. NEVER MIND.. when water gradually rises above your boots, the morale is still ok.. like another 5% for every 20cm rise. BUT! morale drops an all time high of 90%-100% once water touches your underwear and gets everything that your underwear is holding super super wet.. and there you go.. that's the morale chart for you. this happened to me on my first mission.. it was about 100m more to our objective when suddenly we encountered a HUGE water puddle in our path. no choice, we crossed it. at first the water was ok, reaching the mid section of my boots, but since my boots had been over-seasoned, water entered anyway so it was as if it reached above my boots. morale-o-meter: 10-20% NEXT, water went higher and higher n higher.. it's still alright since i'm wet anyway.. morale-o-meter: 20% and rising GRADUALLY.. then, the inevitable happened. i saw the person in front of me dropped to half my height. DIE LIAO LAH......... "any sweat, no sweat, underwear, wet wet, don't believe, come and check, check already, don't regret." morale-o-meter: 100% down the drain. so interesting. imagine the feeling of wet underwear the whole morning from 12am to 12pm. does tt get you high enough?
